Cheers to 2025 at Founders’ Food Hall & Market Charlottetown, Here’s to 2026!

From glowing winter nights to lively summer days, Founders’ Food Hall & Market buzzed with energy year-round. Locals and visitors gathered to warm up, connect, and celebrate in every season. Whether enjoying Winterfest, live music, or local makers, each visit felt special. Together, these moments created a year filled with community, creativity, and island pride.

Winter 2025: Ice, Glow, and Festive Nights

As 2025 kicked off, Founders’ Food Hall & Market welcomed visitors with warmth and excitement despite the winter chill. The hall proudly served as the Warm & Glow Zone during Charlottetown’s Jack Frost Winterfest. Offering a cozy retreat where guests could thaw out by the fire pits, enjoy hot drinks, and soak in the festive atmosphere.

One standout event was “An unforgettable night on the ice!” , where locals gathered to skate, socialize, and enjoy live music by a local DJ in a festive atmosphere. This was more than just a skating night; it was a celebration of winter’s best moments, blending fresh air with friendly faces and delicious food.

Throughout winter, Founders continued live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, warming cold nights and bringing people together. Vendors served local favourites, from handcrafted jewellery to island-inspired dishes, perfect PEI souvenirs for visitors and locals.

The Proudly Canadian celebration on April 26 was a highlight, featuring all-day live music with local artists like Ryan Merry and The Fabulously Rich setting a joyful soundtrack for shoppers and visitors.

During the spring months, vendors brought fresh energy to the hall. Rotating products that are unique, handmade , and perfect for discovering one-of-a-kind PEI souvenirs and local treasures. The atmosphere was casual and inviting, a place where visitors could explore local shops, chat with creators, and feel connected to the island’s creative heartbeat.

The buzz was palpable as friends and families kicked off the season with joy and flavour.

Shortly after, Sounds of the Waterfront, presented by Dairy Farmers of PEI, made its much-anticipated return at the end of June. The series offered daily live music on the waterfront, featuring various genres against Charlottetown’s stunning harbour backdrop Charlottetown harbour backdrop.
