The Summerside-based husband-and-wife duo Karen & Mike Penton have been performing together across the Maritimes for over 20 years. Since forming Soul Filter in 2017, the Alt Rock-Pop band has been drawing attention with their catchy melodies, alluring vocals & magnetic performances, helping to garner a PEI Music nomination for their debut album “A Minor Conspiracy”. With an eclectic mix of influences, lead singer-songwriter Karen often derives inspiration from 90’s era artists such as Alanis Morissette, The Cranberries, Holly McNarland & Sheryl Crow. Their live acoustic duo performances deliver a dynamic blend of original and retro rock-pop heart & soul.
