Winter Events in Charlottetown | Founders’ Food Hall & Market
Winter in Charlottetown has its own kind of charm. Snow settles along the harbour. The waterfront feels quiet and still. Then you step inside Founders Food Hall & Market. The music is playing. The lights are glowing. Our Events calendar keeps winter full of energy, flavour, and connection. If you are looking for winter events that bring people together, you will find them here.

Winter Events That Bring Locals Together
Winter events at Founders’ are all about community. Every last Saturday of the month, we host Trivia Night. Teams gather early to grab a table and order food. The room fills quickly with friendly competition. There are cheers, laughs, and a few dramatic final answers. Trivia has become a winter tradition for many Charlottetown locals.
Live music adds to the atmosphere every week. Starting March 5-29, from Thursday to Saturday, performers take the stage from 5 to 7 PM. Sundays feature live music from 2:30 to 4:30 PM. It is the perfect soundtrack to dinner, drinks, or a relaxed afternoon. Local artists bring warmth to even the coldest days.
We are also lighting up the season with Glow Skates on February 28, March 7, and March 21. The rink comes alive with bright lights and upbeat music. Skating under the glow feels festive and fresh. It is a fun night out for friends, families, or date nights on the waterfront. Plus first 100 skaters get a glow stick for their skate!
No matter the event, our food and retail vendors are ready to serve. Warm up with chowder made from PEI seafood. Share wood-fired pizza or crispy fries. Grab something a sweet treat. Browse local retail booths and find something special to take home. Winter feels better when you can eat, shop, and gather in one place.

Pride Night Market and Celebrating Community
Winter events at Founders’ also mean celebrating who we are as a community. On March 14, we are proud to collaborate with Pride PEI to host the Polar Pride Night Market. This vibrant evening brings together local vendors, music, and creative energy.
Expect a colourful, welcoming space where everyone belongs. Shop from local makers and artisans. Enjoy live entertainment and soak in the atmosphere. The Pride Night Market is a chance to connect, support local businesses, and celebrate inclusivity right here on the waterfront.
It is more than a market. It is a reminder that winter can still feel bright and full of life. Bring your friends and be part of a night that celebrates community spirit.
March Break Winter Events for Families
March Break at Founders’ is packed with winter events for families. We are turning the hall into a hub of creativity and fun. Indoor movies make for cozy afternoons. Kids can settle in and enjoy their favourite films while parents relax nearby.
Our workshops bring hands-on learning to life. From crepe making sessions to creative time at our Creativity Bar, there is something for every interest.
Music will fill the hall with upbeat K-pop sounds. A K-pop demon hunter will make a special appearance, adding excitement and energy. Beloved characters like Elsa, Rapunzel, and Ariel will also visit. Watch as they sing favourite songs before hosting a meet and greet. These magical moments create memories that last long after winter ends.
Parents can enjoy the experience too. Grab lunch from one of our food vendors. Sip a warm drink while the kids take part in activities or browse our local retail vendors. March Break becomes easy when everything is under one roof.
